Need for Hacking : Why hackers ?
To catch a thief, think like a thief. That’s the basis for ethical hacking. With the increased numbers and expanding knowledge of hackers combined with the growing number of system vulnerabilities the time will come when all computer systems are hacked or compromised in some way. Protecting Computer systems from the bad guys and not just the common vulnerabilities that everyone knows about is the need of the hour.
When you know hacker tricks, you can understand how vulnerable your systems are.Hacking preys on weak security practices and undisclosed vulnerabilities. As hackers expand their knowledge, so should you.
Public perception is that a hacker is evil, but within the hacker community, it’s a badge worn with honor. They may have the knowledge to be harmful, but the current reputation associated with a “hacker” is about the same as labeling all martial artists violent and evil. But take a martial arts class and learn to defend yourself on the street, and take a hacker class and learn to defend yourself online. Then use neither skill for evil but do leverage your new understanding and stay safe.
