Indian government’s ultra low-cost tablet ‘Aakash’ is finally in front of us.The tablet PC, named Aakash, will cost the government Rs. 2,276. It will be given to students after subsidising the price by up to 50 per cent. So it should cost around 1200 INR.The government will roll out 100,000 units of the Aakash tablet initially with device maker Datawind.However the availability of the device to the general public is still a question.Minister pointed out that the tablets will be distributed through educational institutes.It's retail version UbiSlate will be launched from November.
