Poor man's Basic BIOS password crack
Did you think this was ever possible? But indeed there was a poor man's trick to accomplish the task.Inside bios there is 3V battery called CMOS battery which acts as a 24 x 7 power supply for the BIOS and acts as an initiator of the booting process. If i guessed it right the system clock might also be depending on it!Don't think what sort of guy I'm ;i know i started with password cracking and talking about BIOS battery, but it was purposeful.
- Turn off PC and then open CPU and check motherboard ,you must find something looking like a silver coin. That's our battery.
- Remove the battery and replace it after 40-45 seconds.
- Restart your computer and your PC no longer will ask for a BIOS password.
- Be careful when do this.If you mess up something i won't be responsible :-)
- You may need set several things like system time.
- In laptop and notebooks you don't have to remove the computer's power batteries, but you should open your computer and remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard.
